This reclining wheelchair is designed for users who need more comfort and body support than a standard manual wheelchair can provide. The wheelchair features an adjustable reclining backrest and an adjustable seat angle. The accompanying person can change these positions independently to help the user sit more upright or rest in a more reclined and supported position.

A padded headrest, supportive seat, armrests and individually adjustable elevating leg supports provide additional comfort for the head, back and legs.

Comfort and Adjustable Positioning

Unlike a standard lightweight wheelchair, this model provides a much more supportive seating system.

Important Information Before Booking

This Is a Large and Heavy Wheelchair

This wheelchair weighs approximately 34 kg when fully assembled.

It is significantly heavier than a standard folding or transport wheelchair. Although it has large rear wheels with hand rims, independent propulsion may be difficult for the seated user, especially on Prague’s cobblestones, slopes, ramps and uneven pavements.

We therefore strongly recommend that an accompanying person is available to:

• Push and control the wheelchair
• Operate the reclining functions
• Assist on slopes, ramps and uneven surfaces
• Help with loading and unloading when transport is required

The accompanying person must be physically able to control and handle a heavy wheelchair.

Check Doorways, Lifts and Storage Space

The wheelchair is approximately 72 cm wide across the rear wheels. Before booking, please measure the narrowest doorway, lift entrance or corridor through which the wheelchair will need to pass.

We recommend:

• A clear doorway or lift entrance of at least 80 cm
• At least 80 × 150 cm of floor space for storage
• More space if the leg supports need to remain fully extended
• Approximately 165 × 165 cm of clear space where the wheelchair needs to turn

Always measure the actual clear opening between the door frame and the open door. The advertised width of a hotel lift or apartment entrance may not represent the usable opening.

The wheelchair’s total length varies according to the position of the leg supports and can be approximately 112–148 cm. A lift may therefore be wide enough but still too short. Please also check the internal depth of the lift.

Storage in a Hotel or Apartment

This wheelchair is not suitable for very small hotel rooms, narrow corridors or confined apartments.

For storage while fully assembled, reserve an area of at least approximately:

80 cm wide × 150 cm long

Whenever possible, allow additional space around the wheelchair so that the accompanying person can access the brakes, push handles and leg supports.
